Quads and Hams workout
Here is an awesome workout for quadriceps and hamstring, performed by a hot fitness trainer Stephanie “Steph Fit Mum” Sanzo.
The quadriceps femoris is a hip flexor and a knee extensor. It consists of four individual muscles. They form the main bulk of the thigh, and collectively are one of the most powerful muscles in the body.
On the other hand, the hamstrings are any one of the three posterior thigh muscles in between the hip and the knee (from medial to lateral: semimembranosus, semitendinosus, and biceps femoris). The hamstrings are susceptible to injury.
Here is the Quads and Hams workout:
1. Walking Lunge 4x10ea (20 steps)
2. Seated Leg Curl 4×10 (or Prone Leg Curl)
3a. Hack Squats 4×15 (or Leg Press)
3b. Romanian Deadlifts 4×15
4a. Cable Squats 4×20
4b. Cable Pull Throughs 4×20
The workout done in the gym using the machine has a lot of benefits. One of the main benefits of machine-based exercises is that they induce less overall stress on the body.
